Track Your Life

“Track your Life” is a storytelling workshop that will take you into the African wilderness with the best animal trackers in the world. Learn the process of tracking and then use the lessons of this ancient form of art to begin tracking the subtle signs that are guiding you to a life full of meaning, purpose and passion.

In this workshop, coach and storyteller Boyd Varty will teach you how to find the “track” of your own vocation. You will journey into a new landscape, encountering creatures and discovering an ancient process that will give you new perspectives and tools to begin to “track” your right life.  It will teach attendees to develop the “energy state” needed to be an effective leader, decision maker and creator. Tracking is an excellent modality for finding a new direction in your business and teams. It will lead you to a higher level of performance and into a more joyful medium.

Each participant will walk away from this breakout session with a set of tracker tools and the power of a tracker within.  Boyd brings you into a new awareness about how to find what you are looking for in your life.

Join this session to learn how to:

  • Use your body’s signals as a compass to navigate the uncertain terrain of your life
  • Generate an energy state that is playful, focused, resilient and committed
  • Increase your awareness of–and sensitivity to–the subtlest shifts in the ever-changing organic business environment

Boyd Varty

Lion Tracker, Storyteller, Life Guide

Wildlife and literacy activist, Boyd Varty, author of the memoir Cathedral of the Wild, had an unconventional upbringing. Born to a family of conservationists, Boyd grew up on Londolozi Game Reserve in the South African wilderness, a place where man and nature strive for balance and where perils exist alongside wonders. Founded more than 90 years ago as a hunting ground, Londolozi was transformed into a nature reserve in 1973 by Varty’s father and uncle, both visionaries of the restoration movement. But it wasn’t just a sanctuary for the animals; it was also a place for ravaged land to flourish again and for the human spirit to be restored. When Nelson Mandela was released after 27 years of imprisonment, he went to the reserve to recover.

Since childhood, Boyd shared his home with lions, leopards, snakes and elephants, spending his life as an apprentice to the wisdom of nature. Boyd survived a harrowing black mamba encounter, a debilitating bout with malaria and a vicious crocodile attack, but his biggest challenge was a personal crisis of purpose. As a university student, he studied psychology and ecology, supplementing his education by learning martial arts in Thailand, hiking through the jungles of the Amazon and working alongside a renowned tracker from the Shangaan tribe, deepening his intimate knowledge of the natural world. Boyd grew up speaking the local language and learning the true meaning of coexistence between people and nature.

Boyd continues, like any tracker, to follow unconventional pathways. He spent the past decade refining the art of using the wilderness as a place for deep introspection and personal transformation. He has dedicated several years to working in ceremonial spaces as an apprentice to a Peruvian shaman, while generating his own system of coaching called “Track your Life.” His system draws on lessons from the ancient artistic form of tracking to help people find more meaning, purpose and motivation.

Having taught his philosophy of “Tracking your Life” to companies and individuals all over the world, he has earned global recognition and featured in the New York Times and NBC. Boyd has a psychology degree from the University of South Africa, he is a certified Master Life Coach, the author of two books and a TEDx speaker.

Daniel Marcos

Co-founder and CEO of Growth Institute, CEO and Scaling Up Coach, and Keynote Speaker

Daniel Marcos is the co-founder and CEO of Growth Institute, the leading online executive education company for C-level executives at fast-growing firms. He is a keynote speaker, columnist from INC magazine and a CEO Coach, with a mission to help one million entrepreneurs scale their impact and reduce drama in the process. He is a member of YPO and EO and is a certified coach in the Scaling Up methodology. He is a graduate of EO’s premiere CEO programme, the “Birthing of Giants”, and he holds a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from ITESM (Monterrey Tech) and an MBA from Babson College.

Daniel was an early entrepreneur. He started a t-shirt business at the age of eight and then partnered with a car detailing franchise to provide cleaning services throughout his high school years. In the year 2000, he built an online trading business that was acquired within six months by what was Argentina’s largest financial player at the time.

Daniel’s next business launched just before the untimely crash of the financial markets in 2008. His business was shut down and Daniel took on US$1 million in debt. Despite the recent setback, Daniel had an abundance of experience and successes under his belt and had recently been recognized in Expansion Magazine’s “30 under 30” and Selected Forbes 1000 2021 list.

As a serial entrepreneur, Daniel quickly realized that CEOs are often the bottleneck of the company. In the same way that you can’t solve a problem without first elevating your mindset, a business can’t evolve beyond what the CEO can handle. Daniel partnered with Verne Harnish in 2012 to bring executive training to the masses. What was once reserved for a small niche of wealthy companies is now available to all CEOs and their executive teams.

In less than a decade, Growth Institute has been recognized among the top 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the USA, with over 55,000 members from 11,000 companies across 70 countries.

David Ryan

CEO of Xpertek

After getting fired from his first job, David became an entrepreneur and never looked back. After experiencing great success in his first business (insurance), he pretty much lost it all with his second business (web), and his third business was a failed transition (excavation). Throughout the process, he gained invaluable lessons about both business and himself and is currently riding an awesome growth phase in his fourth business focused on restoration and construction.

His fourth venture, Xpertek, has been in business for 18 years, and puttered around at the three-million-dollar mark until David was asked to become an active partner four years ago. With a blank canvas, he looked at the company’s position and defined what would be the next big disruption in the market. By embracing this disruption, he became a leader in structured growth, scaling the business, and responding to challenges.
