Pre-GLC: Train trip from Victoria Falls to Pretoria

Join me as we travel in luxury by train from the majestic Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe through Big 5 safari reserves across the tropic of Capricorn, finishing back in Pretoria, South Africa. We will have the chance to sit back and soak in the diverse landscape, visit bushman paintings and rock art and Hwange National Park, a rich and diverse wildlife sanctuary where you can enjoy a game drive excursion.

Pre-GLC Table Mountain Hike

Indian Venster is considered to be one of Table Mountain’s most iconic short hikes. The rock formations and topology provide an incredible setting to take in some of the best ocean, city bowl and mountain views that Cape Town has to offer. It’s a steep climb (700 vertical metres) and involves some climbing, bouldering and scrambling at times. If you are fit, have a keen sense of adventure and a decent head for heights, then this hike should be on your bucket list.

Pre-GLC Siviti – Exclusive wildlife experience

Chapmans Peak Cycle – 50km

Join me and other EO Cape Town members for an enjoyable ride along one of the most scenic bike routes in Cape Town. This route forms part of the Cape Town Cycle Tour which is the biggest mass participation cycle tour in the world. The route is around 55km with approximately 700m of climbing over 4 hills – out and back.

Pre GLC – Kirstenbosch Gardens Hike with Police Officers and Lunch

Kirstenbosch Gardens offers breath-taking views and a chance to immerse yourself in nature. After the hike, we will have a picnic in the gardens where we will get to interact with the police officers and learn about their work.

We will also enjoy wine tasting and have a sumptuous lunch at La Colombe (World’s 50 Best Restaurant List 2022), one of the finest restaurants in the city. This will be a day to remember and a chance to show our appreciation for the efforts of the police force.

De Grendel Dinner and Wine Paring

Pre-GLC Promenade Run

Come for a 10km run along the famous Greenpoint Promenade (and get over that jetlag!)

We’ll do a very chill 6:30 min p/km (10:30 min per mile) run along the most scenic promenade in the world! We will start in Moullie Point and run to Bantry Bay and back. You’re more than welcome to turn around at any point and meet us back at the start.
After the run, we’ll grab coffee and refreshments at the Seattle (which is where we’ll be starting the run).
