Frequently Asked Questions

I’m excited for the EO with Harvard Business School programme! Can I register today?
We’re excited too! Registration for the 2024 programme will open soon (actual date TBD). Prior to registration, you can sign up for the interest list here.

Can you tell me exactly what is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee covers all educational sessions and materials, most meals (unless otherwise indicated on the agenda), accommodations for three (3) nights, ground transportation during the event, and most social activities (unless otherwise indicated on the agenda).

That’s great! So what is not included in the registration fee?
Expenses not covered by the registration fee include but are not limited to: Air and ground transportation, some meals, some social activities, optional activities and personal incidentals. If you arrive early or stay later, you are responsible for the room rate, associated taxes and fees, and you are subject to the terms and conditions of the hotel’s regular pricing and cancellation policy. Any difference in cost associated with room upgrades (double or triple occupancy, suite or other room types). Any and all incidentals incurred during your stay, including but not limited to laundry, room service, gratuities, etc.

Does Harvard Business School campus have any COVID health & safety protocols?
The goal of EO and Harvard Business School is to ensure you are healthy and safe while on campus. You may review the protocols while on campus here.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend the on campus experience?
At this time, participants are not required to be fully vaccinated to attend. Please review the protocols here.

Are there any countries not allowed to travel to the United States?
Please view your country’s status prior to registering.

Am I required to wear a mask during the on campus experience?
Mask coverings are currently optional. Please review the protocols here.

When should I pay?
To secure your space in the EO with Harvard Business School programme, the registration fee payment is due when you register. Read more about the payment process here.

Can I use my Global Event Voucher?
Absolutely! The Global Event Voucher is available to you if you’ve been an EO member for 3 years or less, and you haven’t used the voucher yet on a previous programme. To apply the Voucher to your registration fees, check “Yes” during registration. The $500 will automatically be deducted from your balance.

Will I receive Harvard alumni status?
Great question, but Harvard is unable to offer alumni status for this programme.

Can accelerators or SLPs apply?
This is a program for EO Members only.

I registered! Now what?
Congratulations! We’re excited you’re a part of the EO with Harvard Business School programme! You may expect to hear from a member of the learning team in the next 2 weeks regarding further details of the programme.

Travel Details

Please check COVID and Visa entry requirements for your country BEFORE registering.

Are airport transfers provided?
Airport transfers are not provided and are at your own cost. Taxis/Uber/Lyft are recommended.

When should I plan to arrive at the Harvard campuses?
You should plan to arrive at the Harvard campus the morning of the first day of class (date coming soon).

What if I need to arrive earlier than and/or stay later than the allotted times?
Your program fees cover your accommodations for 3 nights. If your travel schedule cannot fit between these days, you may book lodging at a nearby hotel. Here are some recommendations from Harvard Business School.

Will I be staying at a hotel?
You will be staying on the Harvard campus. Please note, pets are not allowed on campus or in your room.

Can I stay at a different hotel than the one provided?
The accommodations are included in your registration fee. If you choose to stay at a different location, it is completely user pay and the registration fee stays the same. You will also be responsible for travel to/from the event venue each day.

What if I have special dietary needs?
The dining facility can accommodate most requests. Be sure to complete the dietary restrictions question during your event registration. We will do our best to meet your needs.

Attendance Details

What if I register for EO with Harvard Business School but cannot attend?
You may view the cancellation policy here.

How do I cancel my registration?
All cancellations must be communicated in writing and are processed according to the date they are received at EO headquarters. All refunds at the time of the cancellation will be based upon the cancellation policy here.

Are there any exceptions to the cancellation policy?

Exceptions to the cancellation policy are only granted in the case of a death in the immediate family (spouse or partner, children, parents, siblings) or for an emergency medical situation involving the member, spouse or partner, or legal dependent. The member must provide written documentation from a doctor certifying that the member has a medical emergency that bars travel. All exceptions are subject to review by the Learning Team and will have to be approved prior to the release of refunds less the US$1000 non-refundable fee per person. No exceptions will be made for other personal or business reasons. All written documentation and supporting documents must be received by 1 week after the event referenced to be considered for refund.

Can I transfer my spot to another EO member in good standing if I cannot attend?
You can transfer your spot prior to the first campus experience but not after. A cancelling attendee can transfer his/her spot to another EO member in good standing. The cancelling member and the replacing member can choose to facilitate the monetary exchange themselves to avoid transaction fees. EO will transfer the registration once notification has been received from the selling member and a registration form has been received by the purchasing member. If the cancelling attendee chooses not to transfer funds directly with the replacing member, EO will facilitate the transfer and refund the money, less a US$100 transaction fee. The replacing member should contact [email protected] to register and send payment information.

Can I sign up on the waitlist if the programme is sold out?
Of course! The link to the waitlist is made visible automatically once all the seats are taken and can be found on the event website here.

The website says that the event is already sold out. Can you explain the registration process and if I should sign up for the waitlist?
For the first 24 hours that registration opens, we offer regional registrations in an effort to allow all regions to register in a timely manner. Regional registration blocks remain open for 24 hours for each respective region, and once all regional registrations have had 24 hours to register, we open the remaining seats to those who missed their region and are on the EO with Harvard Business School waitlist. We do often receive cancellations, and we recommend that you join.

I need a visa to attend this programme. Can you help with that?
EO members are responsible for arranging their own travel in a timely manner for attendance at EO events—including, but not limited to, all immigration- and visa-related costs and paperwork. If you fail to receive the appropriate approvals to enter a country in which you have purchased a registration, you will be subject to EO cancellation policies.

EO takes no responsibility for acquiring or monitoring the status of a visa for any member. EO can support you in your quest for immigration approval by providing the following:

• Letters of invitation
• Hotel confirmation numbers (where applicable)
• Connections to the chapter members via the chapter administrator

EO cannot:

• Sponsor members
• Guarantee costs or other monetary-related paperwork
• Liaise with ministries, immigration, embassies or consulates on behalf of any member

If you require a sponsorship for entry into a country, you assume all risk associated with registering for the event prior to getting approval and finding sponsors. EO cancellation policies apply. EO members are required to find other EO member sponsors on their own, including using eonetwork.org or through the EO chapter hosting the event. EO staff will not broker sponsorships.
