Is the training given in English?
Yes, all our Executive Education programmes are in English. Due to a global audience, your video audition on your application must be in English as well.
I would like to participate but I can´t travel, can I apply?
Absolutely! GSA is a hybrid programme and will be given virtually and in-person in San Diego, California in PT time
What should be included in my video audition?
The video is meant to be on a topic that you would like to speak about during 3 minutes maximum
When does the application launch and when is the deadline to apply?
Applications to the programme will be open from 9-19 August 2021.
How long will the training be?
GSA is a five day programme
Most days will start at 8 am and run until 5:30 pm, however, there will be one or two programme days where evening study sessions will be longer (ending around 6 pm) Pacific Time zone

Are meals included?
Breakfast is included for one with the sleeping room rate, if you choose to stay at the main venue hotel; lunch will be provided at the facility as well as coffee breaks. Dinner is on your own.
What is the cost of the Global Speakers Academy program?
US$6,500 per member
Is it the same fee for Virtual and in-person participants?
Yes, the fee to participate in GSA for all participants is US$6,500 per member

As you plan your trip, you should book flights in/out of San Diego International Airport (IATA: SAN, ICAO: KSAN, FAA LID: SAN), formerly known as Lindbergh Field, is an international airport 3 mi (4.8 km) northwest of Downtown San Diego, California, United States.
Where can I stay?
San Diego Hilton Bayfront – About a 20-30-minute taxi ride or uber from SAN.
Can I stay at a different hotel?
In short, yes. However, a reduced room rate and daily breakfast have been negotiated at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel. If you choose to stay at an alternative location, please make breakfast arrangements accordingly. Please note, regardless of where you stay, you will be responsible for your transportation.
Is my application complete?
For your application to be considered complete, you must have current and accurate credit card information on file in your EO Memeber Hub profile. To check if you have credit card information in your profile, or to update existing credit card information, log in to EO’s secure site, EO Member Hub. If you submit your application but do not have credit card information on file or that information is not up to date, your application will be incomplete and you will not be considered for the programme.

When do I have to pay?
To secure your space in the Global Speakers Academy, registration fee payment is due by 9 September 2021. Read more about the payment process here.
Are airport transfers provided?
Airport and Venue transfers are not provided and are at your own cost. The best ground transportation method is by car (Uber, Lyft, Taxi).
When should I plan to arrive in San Diego?
Please arrive on October 17, we start on October 18 early in the morning and the program ends on October 22, so your departure should be October 22 after 7pm

What if I have special dietary needs?
Breakfast is included at Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel if you choose to stay there and lunch will be provided at the venue.
If you are accepted into the programme, be sure to complete the question of the dietary restriction during your event registration. We will do our best to meet your needs.
I need a visa to attend this programme. Can you help with that?
EO members are responsible for arranging their travel on time for attendance at EO events—including, but not limited to, all immigration- and visa-related costs and paperwork. If you fail to receive the appropriate approvals to enter a country in which you have purchased a registration, you will be subject to EO cancellation policies.
EO takes no responsibility for acquiring or monitoring the status of a visa for any member. EO can support you in your quest for immigration approval by providing the following:
- Letters of invitation
- Connections to the chapter members via the chapter administrator
- Sponsor members
- Guarantee costs or other monetary-related paperwork
- Liaise with ministries, immigration, embassies, or consulates on behalf of any member.
- If you require sponsorship for entry into a country, you assume all risks associated with registering for the event before getting approval and finding sponsors. EO cancellation policies apply. EO members are required to find other EO member sponsors on their own, including using eonetwork.org or through the EO chapter hosting the event. EO staff will not broker sponsorships.
What is the dress code?
Business casual. Please note that you may want to dress in layers as San Diego can be quite warm (74° / 61°F) however the training will be taking place indoors where air conditioning can make it quite chilly.
What is included in the registration fee?
The fee for GSA is US$6,500 and covers five days of learning in an interactive course (breakfast and WIFI if lodging at the host hotel), lunch, and other course resources.
What is not included in the registration fee?
Expenses not covered by the registration fee include, but are not limited to: Accommodations (although a room block, WIFI, and breakfast have been negotiated), dinner, books, transportation to/from meeting/social venues, air transportation, pre-and post-event ground transportation, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, in-room dining, and miscellaneous personal incidentals. If you arrive early or stay later, you are responsible for the room rate, associated taxes, and fees, and you are subject to the terms and conditions of the hotel’s regular pricing and cancellation policy. Any difference in cost associated with room upgrades (double or triple occupancy, suite, or other room types). Any incidentals incurred during your stay, including but not limited to laundry, room service, gratuities, etc.
Are there any exceptions to the cancellation policy?
Exceptions to the cancellation policy are only granted in the case of a death in the immediate family (spouse or partner, children, parents, siblings) or for an emergency medical situation involving the member, spouse or partner, or legal dependent. The member must provide written documentation from a doctor certifying that the member has a medical emergency that bars travel. All exceptions are subject to review by the Executive Education team and will have to be approved before the release of refunds less than the USD$100 non-refundable processing fee per person. No exceptions will be made for other personal or business reasons. All written documentation and supporting documents must be received by 1 week after the event referenced to be considered for a refund.
Can I use my US$500 voucher?
Members who joined EO on or after July 2018 are eligible for the Global Event Voucher for Global Speakers Academy. To apply the Global Event Voucher to your registration fees, check “Yes” during registration. The US$500 will automatically be deducted from your balance.
What happens if the event gets canceled due to COVID?
We’ll continue to monitor safety and reserve the right to cancel for health-related concerns. Members safety is our priority, but if the event gets canceled due to COVID, the registration fee will be reimbursed (please note EO is not responsible for fees and/or charges paid by event attendees to hotels, airlines, or any other third party, we suggest that when booking make it a refundable fee by the company)
I was selected but I am not able to attend due to COVID, will I get a refund?
If you were selected and are not able to attend, we will do refunds on the registration fee up to four weeks before the event (20 September 2021), please note EO is not responsible for fees and/or charges paid by event attendees to hotels, airlines or any other third party.
