Are you hosting a “wow” event this year? Already have a learning session lined up? Give it a 30th anniversary flair, and you could be in the running for prizes and global recognition. Throughout the year, EO will be giving chapters the resources they need to celebrate the 30th anniversary in their own unique ways, while also spotlighting those celebrations that go above and beyond. Together, we will celebrate this EO milestone!

To share the impact of your event, and to submit your event for consideration, please prepare your materials for submission with our application form (coming soon on this page). Please note that all information must be submitted in English. You will receive an email verification upon completion of your survey.

Submission Criteria

• To be eligible, your event must have been held between 1 May 2017 and 21 March 2018
• Your celebration can be an in-person event or virtual
• You are required to upload/submit event photos and/or videos as part of your application.
  1. Applications will be collected exclusively through this website
  2. Provide at least three minutes of video, or
  3. Provide at least 5 high-resolution photos from the event
• All entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. (EDT) on 21 March, 2018

Judging Process

• Each entry will be judged by a committee inside their region
• Each entry will only be judged against other events in the region
• Nine regional winners will be shared with a task force, which will recommend the top three finalists to the EO Global Board. The final winner will be selected by the Board.

Prizes

Earn global recognition for your chapter, be spotlighted in publications and earn those coveted “bragging rights” in your region.

• Global Prize: US$10,000 for the best global event
  1. One chapter will be awarded our “Global winner” for their chapter celebration
  2. The winner will receive US$10,000, and will be recognized on stage during the Global Leadership Conference (GLC) in 2018
• Regional Prizes: US$1,000 for the best event in each region
  1. One chapter in each region will be awarded our “Regional winner” for their chapter celebration
  2. All Regional winners will vie for the chance to be a Global winner and win the global prize
  3. Each Regional winner will also receive an engraved trophy honoring the chapter’s event excellence

Award Announcements

• All regional winners will be announced at the 2018 GLC, along with the global winner
• All winners will be subsequently promoted in Octane, the Octane Blog and other EO publications

How will Global help?

A “celebration kit” has been posted to the anniversary website under “Celebration Support.”  The kit includes items that will help you celebrate the anniversary in true EO fashion.
