What is the Global Leadership Conference (GLC)?
For nearly 30 years, EO’s Global Leadership Conference (GLC) has played a critical role in defining leadership pathways for members, serving as a stage for success and platform for development within the EO ecosystem.
GLC is the organization’s flagship event and empowers member leaders with the tools, knowledge, and networks most commonly needed to excel in their new chapter leadership roles.
Alongside leadership training, GLC provides a moment for members from across the world to engage with thought leaders, make connections with each other, and unleash their potential.
Why should I attend GLC?
GLC is the EO event of the year. It is an opportunity to learn and engage with fellow members across the world!
You will have access to ground-breaking learning from top thought leaders, as well as opportunities to network with like-minded members through MyEO Events. Connect with businesses through EOxpo, and network one-on-one in-person or through the Swapcard platform.
Attendees also have the option to explore the incredible island of O’ahu.
When is the event?
GLC 2025 will be held in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, from 3-5 April 2025, at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center. Pre-registration for GLC opens on the afternoon of 2 April 2025.
Who is invited to attend?
Registration will be opened first to incoming chapter officers, regional council members and regional experts on 8 January 2025 at 7am EST.
Any remaining available spaces will be opened to general members on Wednesday, 12 February at 9am EST at a cost of USD$1300 per person.
Regardless of your role, all EO members are welcome to bring a Spouse/Life Partner (SLP) at a cost of USD$1300 per person.
How much does it cost?
Chapter Officer Training (COT) and Member Leader registration fees are complimentary for a designated number of board positions per chapter, depending on the chapter’s size.
Any chapter officers who wish to attend GLC, beyond these specified numbers of allocations for the 13 approved training tracks, will be required to pay USD$1300 per person.

General GLC member registration costs will be USD$1300 per person in 2025. General membership seats will be released on Wednesday, 12 February at 9 am EST.
Which member leaders can attend?
Tier 1 leaders (global board, regional chairs, portfolio/change chairs), as well as regional council members, regional experts, and incoming chapter officers are invited to attend.
Can Regional Council Experts attend GLC?
Yes, regional experts whose role aligns with COT offerings at GLC are invited to attend GLC 2025.
What is the format of GLC 2025? How will it be different to previous years?
GLC 2025 will be an in-person experience in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. The three-day event will offer in-person networking and learning experiences that help EO members connect, develop and grow.
GLC will have COT at its core. In 2025, that training will take place over the course of two days and be designed for member leaders from around the world who have volunteered to serve in a leadership capacity the next year.
That way, chapter board members can learn from their peers and be fully prepared to deliver impact and value for their fellow members.
Why is there no virtual access to GLC 2025?
As an organization built first around human connection, our primary investments focus on resources to enable in-person Chapter Officer Training, in-person learning, and connections. We hope that you will be able to join us in-person to take advantage of the unique opportunities that GLC provides.
What is Chapter Officer Training (COT)?
COT is critical training for chapter officers to help them excel in their leadership roles. In these sessions, incoming chapter officers gain the skills and connections needed to perform in their role, while discovering useful templates and tools, and sharing experiences with other chapter chairs from around the globe.
Am I supposed to attend COT?
COT is for incoming chapter officers for FY2025/2026. If you are not an incoming chapter officer, you will not need to attend COT.
How many officers can each chapter send to in-person GLC?
GLC is open to the whole incoming chapter board, however, GLC attendance and Chapter Officer Training is complimentary for only a designated number of board positions per chapter, depending on the chapter’s size. Any Chapter Officers who wish to attend GLC, beyond these specified numbers of allocations for the 13 approved training tracks can register normally. However, their registration will be billed to the chapter post-GLC at the cost of US$1300 per person.
The number of complimentary registrations per chapter is as follows:
- Chapters with 99 or fewer members: 6 tickets
- Chapters with 100-149 members: 8 tickets
- Chapters with 150-199 members: 10 tickets
- Chapters with 200+ members: 13 tickets
What tracks are being offered this year?
There are 13 Chapter Officer Training tracks being offered this year:
Accelerator
Area Director
Finance
Forum
GSEA
Member Engagement
Learning
Marketing & Communications
Membership
MyEO
Presidents
Strategic Alliances
Governance
As a reminder, chapter board attendance for in-person COT will be limited to one (1) chapter officer role per chapter.
For example, only one Learning chair-elect may attend the Learning track. The only exception to the rule is the president elect-elect, who is invited to attend the presidents track in addition to the president-Elect; other elect-elect positions will not be invited to attend GLC COT.
What is the format of COT?
COT is in-person this year, taking place in Hawaii 3 and 4 April. Some tracks may include additional virtual training or other materials as part of their teachings. Your track’s staff lead will be in touch about pre-work and other resources in the lead up to the in-person training in April.
Individual tracks will not be recorded for later viewing. The in-person COT experience is designed for incoming Chapter Officers to network, connect and learn from one another. Supplemental Chapter Officer Training will be offered virtually post-GLC. A formal schedule can be found here.
Will there be a track for chapter staff this year?
There will not be a track for chapter staff during 2025 GLC. Chapter staff attending GLC in-person in place of a chapter officer can attend their track in their place, with the exception of the president’s track.
EO has made the decision to align chapter staff training at the regional level to allow for more focused and culturally specific training and connections.
A Chapter Staff Reception will be hosted during GLC. Further details, including the date and timing, will be shared in future communications.
Are chapter board chairs who do not have a track at GLC able to attend another track?
Only the chapter officers that are assigned to a track should attend that track.
There will be other activities available for general members and spouses and life partners unable to attend chapter officer training, which anyone without a track can also attend.
They will still have access to the organizational messaging onstage and any of the learning opportunities.
