[:en]Q: How was the decision made to reposition the University into an Exploration?
A: The Global Events Subcommittee with the support from the Global Board of Directors made the decision to reposition the Dead Sea, Jordan University to an Exploration on 16 November. Registrants were informed of the decision on 29 November and will be required to accept or decline their registration for the Exploration. A written response is required to either confirm or cancel participation by completing this survey by 4 December 2017.

Q: What was the reasoning behind this decision? (Why are we making these changes?)
A: With the event attendance being smaller than the typical University, there were limitations on what we could provide that would meet the expected caliber of a University experience. The GES took the opportunity to review the program format and incorporate more travel opportunities to experience the other must-see locations in Jordan. By transforming the event into an Exploration, we could take advantage of all that Jordan has to offer, enhance the experience with a visit to Petra which was otherwise not possible due to the University size, stay and explore more cities in a deeper way and provide an emphasis on peer-to-peer, experiential learning in an intimate environment.

Q: How will the Exploration be different from a University?
A: EO Global Explorations provide opportunities for participants to seek adventure in dream destinations, dive deep into local culture, practices and mindsets while reaching new heights through experience-based learning. In contrast, EO Global Universities combine world-class speakers, legendary socials and one day of off-site activities at the event location. At the 2018 EO Jordan Exploration, members will be encouraged to embrace the nomadic spirit of Jordan’s Bedouin community; in place of just one day of off-sites that a University offers, the program will provide opportunities to visit many cultural and historic landmarks at the Dead Sea, Amman and Petra over the course of three and a half days. In place of full-day, classroom style learning sessions with big-name keynotes, members will benefit from experiential, non-traditional learning opportunities with local speakers.

Q: Will there be an impact on dates or airport arrivals and departures?
A: The program dates will not be affected; the Exploration will take place from 28 February (1 p.m. start) and will conclude with an evening dinner on 3 March. Departures can take place all day on Sunday, 4 March. The airport you will fly in and out of will remain at the Queen Alia International Airport in Amman.

Q: What will be the impact on hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and travel time between Exploration locations?
A: We will be staying at different hotels in Jordan as we travel to the various landmarks and landscapes included in the program tour. Attendees should expect that there may be long commutes with extended travel time between some of the program locations as we will be traveling by coach. By exploring multiple cities, packing and repacking should be expected. Hotel information and booking methods for hotel accommodations will be disclosed as program updates are made.

Q: Who will have access to the Exploration?
A: Access to the Exploration will be reserved exclusively to Members and (1) Full Standard Guest, and registration is limited to those who are currently registered for the event. The limited guest category will not available for this Exploration. Registered Members and Full Standard Guests will have access to the complete Exploration.

Q: How will the University registration be transferred to the Exploration?
Members will be required to complete this survey and select “Accept” for their existing University registration to be transferred to the Exploration. If a member is interested in cancelling their registration, they must select “Decline” for their existing registration to be cancelled. All cancellations will be final. A written response is required by completing this survey no later than 4 December.

Q: How will the pricing be affected?
A: The event pricing will not be affected for Members and Full Standard Guests and will remain at US$3,999. Due to the nature of the exploration, all guests must be fully registered and no limited guest options are available. If you registered a Limited Guest, your guest will be upgraded to Full Standard Guest. Further information on additional costs will be emailed to you separately.

Q: What is not included in the event registration pricing?
A: Airfare, airport transfers, accommodations and personal incidentals are not included in the event registration.

Q: When and how should remaining balance payments be submitted?
A: Remaining balances are due by 4 December. This means that if you have not yet paid in full for the event, please follow these instructions to pay your remaining balances no later than 4 December.

To pay your remaining balance, first login to www.EONetwork.org. Go to the 2018 EO Jordan Exploration registration page, click “Modify Registration” and then click “Pay Remaining Amount.” Follow the prompts to complete your transaction. You will be able to view a receipt by going to your homepage on EONetwork and clicking “Edit Profile” and then “Payment History.”

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: Final balances will be due on 4 December and no refunds will be made after this date.

Q: I am a registered member, but I don’t want to attend the Exploration. Will my deposit be refunded?
A: Your full registration fees will be refunded should you decline your participation by 4 December. If you decline your participation but have already purchased your flight ticket, EO will reimburse the change-flight fee if you advise EO in writing that you have booked your flight. A copy of the flight receipt with itinerary and a copy of the receipt showing the cost of the change-flight fee will be required. EO will only refund the change-flight fee and not the costs of the flight.

Q: I am a registered member. Can I amend my guest registration?

Option 1: I am registered member who registered a Limited Participation Guest:
A: You will be required to complete the survey and advise EO by 4 December if you would like to upgrade your Limited Participation Guest registration to a Full Standard Guest registration (rate $3,999) OR whether you would like your Limited Participation Guest registration cancelled.

Option 2:  I am a registered member who did not register a Guest, but I am interested in registering a Full Standard Guest for this Exploration.
A: Capacity for the Exploration has been reached. Should you be interested in adding a guest to the Exploration, please add you guest’s name to the waitlist. EO will contact you if a space becomes available.

Q: When will Exploration attendees receive updates about the Exploration?
A: Stay tuned for more updates. Full program details will be announced as program updates are made.

Q: I was not registered for the University but I would like to attend the Exploration. Can I register now?
A: Capacity for the Exploration has been reached and waitlist has been created. Please add your name to the waitlist and the Events Team will contact you if a space becomes available.

Q: Why is the event sold out?
A: The Exploration is currently sold out. EO strives to offer an intimate experience with EO Global Exploration programs. Due to the nature and structure of an Exploration, registration is limited to a smaller size group to maximize the cultural experience. The event will require increased logistical planning given the travel and accommodation needs that will take place between multiple cities and landmarks; to help facilitate a smooth program for those in attendance, we are limiting the number of attendees.

Q: When will the next University take place?
A: The next University will take place in October 2018. The dates and location will be announced as University program updates are made.
