A Message from the Program Chair

Dear Fellow EO members,

At EO, we’re all about stories— it’s the basis of Gestalt, Forum and EO in general. So, I’m writing to tell you about an EO program that changed my life: the EO/Bell Leadership Institute Program.

As EO members, we have access to a multitude of leadership seminars, classes, publications, workshops, etc. Like you, I have attended many of them— most of which fade into that gray space in our memories. One man, however, changed my entire perspective on leadership: Dr. Gerald Bell.

Effective leadership requires more than goal-setting, metrics and regular meetings. Enter Dr. Bell. I first met Dr. Bell at the Entrepreneurial Masters Program (EMP) in June 2009. His insight and expertise astounded me, and his energy amazed me. I wanted more. So I attended the EO/Bell Leadership Institute Program just three months later in October 2009, where I took the Bell Leadership Institute’s patented 360 degree evaluation. This is not the kind of evaluation where everyone says nice things about you; this is an authentic, honest and clear assessment that will reveal your true leadership strengths, weaknesses and everything in between.

A a glutton for punishment, or maybe just to improve my leadership, I attended the EO/Bell Program again in 2010 and had a similar experience. You would think I was perfect by this point… far from it. I realized that growing as a leader is a constantly evolving process and I needed to keep working at it. So 2011 EO/Bell Program, here I come!

Dr. Bell is a world-renowned leadership expert who focuses on identifying and developing the multiple skills behind strong leaders. This year’s Advanced Achievement Leadership seminar promises to be equally rewarding and will be held at the historic Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA, from 14-17 November 2011, with a special EO-only day on 14 November complete with tailored content presented by the master himself, Dr. Gerald Bell.

Dr. Bell will challenge you to take a candid look at your leadership style and will help you pinpoint where you can grow. You will leave with increased self-awareness and a clear roadmap to bring stronger leadership to your company, your community, your loved ones and most importantly yourself.  He’s also an incredible speaker, so no doubt you’ll leave energized with action steps, and ready to grow your business and yourself.

Please join me for this amazing program it is a necessary step in the next phase of your growth as a leader.  If you’ve been before, you know the value in the event – we’d love to have you continue to hone your skills, too.

All the best,

Clint Greenleaf
