Thursday Night

Tapas Hopping

When you think of Spain, tapas—or small appetizer-like dishes—may immediately spring to mind. Tapas are the best way for the indecisive eater to partake in Spain’s exquisite cuisine. Even the pickiest eater can find culinary cheer by selecting among a variety of local delicacies! Combine the food offerings with the thriving culture of historic Spain and you get an EO University unlike any other. Much like tapas, Barcelona offers up small tastes of a diverse culture that everyone can enjoy.

For our night of tapas hopping, we’ll start the night off with an exclusive concert in Santa Maria del Mar, a prominent symbol of the Gothic Quarter. Instead of a traditional Dine-Around evening in homes or restaurants, we’re doing Dine-Arounds, Barcelona style! Get ready to experience local hospitality and networking with fellow members and guests while sharing traditional tapas. To add another twist to this evening, we’ll keep things lively by changing the scenery and “hopping” to another tapas restaurant while seeing some sights along the way. Feel like a local as we immerse ourselves into the local scene.

Friday Night

Casa Batlló

Antoni Gaudi is one of the most celebrated architects of Barcelona. In addition to Casa Batlló, many of his other works can be seen throughout the city (a few of the most recognizable: Parc Güell, La Pedrera, and Sagrada  Família—famously still under construction). Casa Batlló is more than just a home and building, but a piece of art and exceptional architecture. Any visitor that comes to Barcelona must see this piece of Gaudi’s work. Of course, we’ll be doing that, only we’ll do it the EO way with exclusive access!

Dress Code: Festive Business Casual

**Members are encouraged to “Go Gaudi” and upgrade their business casual attire with fun colors, designs and accessories to match the visual delights of Gaudi’s Casa Batllo**

Saturday Night

Casa Llotja de Mar

Casa Llotja de Mar is a perfect symbol of gothic and neoclassic architecture in Barcelona. The final night social will be held at one of the most important monuments of Barcelona. The six-centuries-old building has always linked the city to the sea and housed important institutions such as the Maritime Consulate, Royal Assembly of Commerce, and since 1886, the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Barcelona. The history and multi-faceted architecture of the building is undeniable and a perfect place to conclude a University that has showed you how to “Design Your Life."
