Important: One Off-site activity is included in the price of your University registration. These activities are open to members and fully registered guests. All Off-site activities will take place on Saturday, 6 June 2015. Please read these important notes about Off-site activities before you register!
- Registered members and their fully registered guests may sign-up for ONE (1) Off-site activity per person.
- All registered guests for the University must fill out a separate Off-site Activity registration – simply revisit the EventBrite link below and enter the fully registered guest’s information.
- All off-site activities include lunch.
- All off-site activities have limited space and are first come, first served.
- Some activities are weather permitting and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
- All activities require a minimum number of people to participate and may be cancelled prior to the event if the minimum has not been met.
- Members and guests that sign up for the same activity will be assigned to the same group.
- All events will depart and return from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
September 11th Memorial and Museum
True Stories from New York’s Heroes
- Hear a first-hand account from a firefighter who was present on September 11th
- Meet representatives from the canine unit, integral heroes in the rescue and recovery efforts.
- Visit the observation deck of the newly built One World Trade Building, opening just days before New York University*
In addition to these experiences, you’ll visit the moving September 11th Memorial, built on the footprint of both fallen World Trade Center towers, and given time to explore the sprawling September 11th Museum, an intimate and emotional journey through that fateful day.
*One World Trade has not yet opened to the public, so our visit will be subject to their successful Grand Opening on 1 June
